Robi Militec passed away on Friday 24th October 2008.
As FLUID, Robi, Jules and I wrote many songs, played many gigs, and shared great times, memories of which will stay with me for the rest of my life.
Although we no longer played music together, Robi was still a great friend to me and shared a particularly close bond with Jules.
Robi was a talented musician and artist, a true craftsman who made guitars and could fix anything.
Robi was a fiercely proud, loyal man who loved his friends and family.
It's hard to believe that Honest Bob is gone. Our thoughts go out to Robi's family.
His friends are devastated.
Only the good die young.
Robi was 30 years old.

Well it has been a while between posts.
We have in fact been rather busy preparing to launch our new sound. Specifically it's 'The June Julys', think of it as the DCB with a little more rock to the pop!
The Dan Carroll Band is taking a well earned breather and will return.

We began recording a new EP last weekend at Recording Oasis on the Gold Coast. We had a fruitful session laying down five new songs that will be released very shortly.
A big thanks to Dave, Tyson and Rob for their assistance in the studio.
The June Julys play their first gig on Friday 4th July at the Hotel Great Northern in Byron Bay.

Hi
Just an update for everyone on our EP Departure. We have completed mixing with Anthony Lycenko @ Rockinghorse Studios in Byron Bay. Paul Blakey @ 12th & Vine Post is currently in the mastering chair tweaking the final product. We are working on some artwork ideas for the release and should have a definate release date shortly. The track listing looks like this - 1.The One 2.I Need You 3.Green 4.Cool Enough 5.Only if You Need To.
Our next performance takes place at The Hotel Great Northern in Byron Bay supporting Dallas Crane on Fri July 13th.
We will be officially launching the new disc with some gigs around the traps. We'll be sure to keep you posted on details as they are confirmed.
