“ Easy on the ear and full of hooks, Dan Carroll's song writing smarts are obvious ” - Time Off Magazine
Dan Carroll
Dan Carroll has long been a member of the Gold Coast's Music Industry. After a six years fronting Pop/Rock outfit FLUID, Dan has distinctively emerged as a solo artist. 2004 has been an impressive year for Dan Carroll. In January a Big Day Out performance earned him his national Television debut on the Nine Network's 'Today' program. This was closely followed by the premiere of Channel Nine's documentary 'The Storm' featuring a combination of instrumental pieces and songs from the singer/songwriters first EP.
The year so far has highlighted the endorsement by Dan's peers having been requested to share the stage with fellow artists Alex Lloyd, Pete Murray, Lisa Marie Presley and Missy Higgins. With the 2004 Brisbane Valley Fiesta also playing homage to Dan's new band lineup, festival performances have become a great way for larger audiences to sample this new artist's wealth in song.
'Strange Inside', Dan's four-track acoustic EP continues to sell at shows beyond first expectations and tracks from the EP were recognized and awarded at the 2003 Music Oz Awards.
Dan has completed work on a new 8 track mini album, titled 'Hit the Low Notes High'. The mini album will be released in March 2005 on Dan's own independent label 'Dusk Records' and distributed through MGM.
